What is HubSlot?
An overview of HubSlot and its core concepts.
HubSlot is an operational platform for ecommerce and retail marketing teams. It brings together campaign planning, touchpoint scheduling, task management, asset organisation, and retail media operations in one shared workspace, so your entire team always has a live, up-to-date view of every campaign.
Core concepts
- Workspace: your company's dedicated environment. Multiple workspaces are supported (e.g., one per brand).
- Market: a geographic market within a workspace (e.g., Italy, France, UK). Each market has its own campaign and reporting data.
- Campaign: a time-bound marketing initiative with a name, period, goal, and a set of touchpoints.
- Group: a top-level category for organising channels (e.g., "Digital", "Offline").
- Channel: a marketing channel inside a group (e.g., Instagram, Newsletter, Google Ads). Created once, reused across all campaigns.
- Touchpoint: a named marketing format or placement defined once at workspace level and reused across campaigns (e.g., "Homepage Billboard", "Top Newsletter Banner"). Each touchpoint has a channel, optional pixel dimensions, and can be enabled as a Retail Media slot with pricing.
Slotty, your AI assistant
Slotty is HubSlot's built-in chat AI. Once your workspace is set up, Slotty can answer questions about your campaigns, help you analyse performance, and navigate the platform, directly from the chat panel.
