What are touchpoints?
Touchpoints are the promotional placements and formats defined at workspace level and reused across all your campaigns.
A touchpoint in HubSlot is a format or communication space defined once at workspace level, such as a homepage banner, a weekly newsletter slot, or an Instagram Story placement. Touchpoints are not tied to a single campaign: the same touchpoint can appear in many campaigns simultaneously.
Touchpoint fields
- Name: the placement label, e.g. "Hero Banner Homepage" (required).
- Channel: the parent channel, which determines the group (optional but recommended).
- Format dimensions: width and height in pixels, chosen from standard presets or entered manually (optional).
- Market assignment: which markets this touchpoint is available in. At least one market must be selected if markets exist in the workspace.
- Retail Media flag: marks the touchpoint as available for sale to external brands via the Retail Media add-on.
- RM pricing: pricing rows per model (CPM, CPC, Flat Weekly, Flat Monthly, Custom) with optional market variants and max discount.
- Estimated monthly impressions: used in media kit calculations (Retail Media).
Format presets
The modal offers ten standard format presets: Hero Banner (1920x400), Billboard (970x250), Leaderboard (728x90), Half Page (300x600), Medium Rectangle (300x250), Square (300x300), Wide Skyscraper (160x600), Mobile Banner (320x50), Instagram Square (1080x1080), Instagram Story (1080x1920). You can also enter custom pixel dimensions.
Touchpoints in campaigns
When building a campaign, you select one or more touchpoints from step 2 of the wizard. Each touchpoint slot in a campaign can have a custom start and end date, independent of the campaign dates. The same touchpoint can be added multiple times to the same campaign (multi-slot).
Reordering
Touchpoints within a channel can be drag-and-drop reordered directly from the Touchpoints page. The new order persists immediately.
